On november 4, 2017, organized by The Bone and joint special committee of the Rehabilitation Medicine Society and The Orthopedic Quality Control Center of Sichuan Province, undertaken by the People's Hospital of Sichuan Province, the Congress of New Technique and Theory of Orthopedics & Orthopedics Quality Control was held with great success at the Chengdu Millennium Hotel.
The experts invited by the SBSEA were: Prof. DUNCAN Whitwell from Oxford University; Prof. PASSERON Dorick and Prof. MEYSSONNIER Vanina from the Hospital Group Diaconesses Croix Saint Simon.

By combining presentations and academic exchanges on the spot, we discussed during this congress not only about the new techniques, new progress and new achievements in the field of orthopedics and rehabilitation, but also the current topics and difficult points in the quality control of orthopedics, such as the clinical application of orthopedic robot; Treatment of a femoral fracture during a revision of THA, application of intelligent minimally invasive intervention to orthopedics etc.

The SECOTA experts invited by our company shared their experiences and surgical techniques on the diagnosis and therapy of hip and knee joint diseases as well as the prosthesis infection. They also made prospective analyzes on the development of modern therapeutic techniques for hip and knee joint diseases and prosthetic infection. The Chinese confreres present had a deep understanding on the latest international theories and techniques.

It should be mentioned that during the congress we had a special guest: she was a patient who had a knee prosthesis infection. After having been diagnosed with amputation in China, she had the chance to make contact with the Prof. PASSERON Dorick and prof. MEYSSONNIER Vanina, and go to France to accept their treatment. After the careful treatment of the two experts, the patient was finally cured and able to walk normally. Knowing the arrival of the two experts, the patient came to Chengdu expressly to express her deep gratitude.
