The SBSEA has as it’s core activity the facilitation of educational exchange programmes between surgeons based in the UK and China. These include training and educational workshops in both countries as well as the management of professional visit programmes by specialist interest groups to either country.

Such programmes can be custom created to suit the requirements of those involved. They be of variable duration, usually from 1 week to 6 months. With management based permanently in both countries, the SBSEA offers extensive global experience of relations with medical professionals in a variety of disciplines. The Association practices a fundamental policy of offering absolute flexibility to delegates with no commercial sponsorship or bias.
